Lip Enhancement

There are two recommended ways to enhance, or enlarge, lips. Some are longer lasting than others.

   1. Restylane is a safe and natural cosmetic dermal filler that restores volume and fullness. It lasts about 3-6 months and does not require allergy testing. The procedure takes only a few minutes and can be combined with filling lines around the mouth at the same time.

   2. Alloderm is a material which comes from donated skin that has been processed to remove all the cells. It arrives freeze-dried and is reconstituted at the time of placement. The lips are numbed and the dermal implant is threaded in through the edges of the lips. A few silk sutures are removed after one week. There is usually some swelling. The implants can last several years but sometimes only last 18 months.
